The trailer asks, “Is it Dance or Theatre or is it just Life?” Ladies and gentlemen, I’m here to tell you that it’s all three and more.
Pina is a feature length documentary/tribute featuring the art of the late great German choreographer Pina Bausch, who died in 2009.
Oh yeah, it’s also in 3D.
Now, I know what you’re thinking: “Screw that, who wants to see a dance movie in 3D?! I’m not paying $20 to go see something that’ll put me to sleep!” (Well, maybe you thought that.)
Well dear reader, I’m here to convince you to go see this film because this is not what you would expect at all. Just take a look at the trailer above, and you’ll already get a feeling that this is not your ordinary dance flick or documentary. That’s because of the woman that inspired the film.
